Thank you for your interest in this study. The purpose of this research is to learn more about gestures and language in children with autism with moderate language delays. During the study, children will interact with an investigator during learning activities.
This study involves:
- Attending research appointments with your child at the Munroe-Meyer Institute (6902 Pine Street) at the beginning, midpoint, and end of the study
- Bringing your child to 2-4 one-hour sessions per week (totaling 3 hours weekly) over a 4-week period
Your child may be a good fit for this study if:
- They are aged 3-6 years of age
- They have a confirmed diagnosis of ASD and a moderate language delay
- They cooperate with common educational instructions
- English is the primary language for them and at least one caregiver
If you are interested in participating in this study and believe you meet the eligibility criteria, you will need to answer several short questions. These questions will take about 5 minutes to complete. Once complete, a member of the study team will reach out to you about next steps.
